Bombers Sign Local Talent
The Bombers have signed Dubois County natives Derek Katter and Brett Merkley for the 2009 summer. Katter, a graduate of Jasper High School will man the outfield. Merkley, who spent his high school days at Forest Park, joins the Bombers as a right-handed pitcher. For more information, vist the news tab at the top of the page for the release.

Senior; Infielder
2009- Started in 45 games...batted .348 with 13 doubles, four homers, and 35 RBI...reached base at an outstanding .426 clip... expected to be a mainstay in the Bombers' infield this summer...a pro prospect in the future.

2008
- Started in 61 games...Batted .286 with 42 runs scored and 3 HR's...38 RBI's with 12 HBP...Led team with sac bunts, 10...Fielding percentage of .925.

2007
- Appeared in 53 games with 52 starts...Batted .284 with 22 RBI's...Had 8 SB's...Led team with 9 sac bunts.

HIGH SCHOOL
- Hillcrest HS...Coached by former Eagle player Dru Mahoney...Selected All-Region...Team was District and Region Champs.

PERSONAL- Son of Reuben Rogers and Tracy Hall...Favorite player is Derek Jeter...Favorite team is the Atlanta Braves...Favorite movies are Troy, Ironman, Wedding Crashers and Bull Durham...Favorite TV shows are Sportcenter, Seinfeld and Man vs. Wild...Hobbies are hunting, fishing and wakeboarding.
