Bombers Sign Local Talent
The Bombers have signed Dubois County natives Derek Katter and Brett Merkley for the 2009 summer. Katter, a graduate of Jasper High School will man the outfield. Merkley, who spent his high school days at Forest Park, joins the Bombers as a right-handed pitcher. For more information, vist the news tab at the top of the page for the release.

   Kyle Richardson

Senior; Infielder
SUMMER 2008: Richardson played for the Folsom Pioneers of the Sierra Baseball League. Finished at the top of the league with a .388 batting average...added eight doubles, a triple, and six stolen bases...reached base at an outstanding .468 clip.

SIERRA JC:
Kyle Richardson spent two seasons at Sierra Junior College in Rocklin...helped lead the Wolverines to the 2008 California Community College State Championship...was a first team All-Big 8 Conference selection...tied for sixth in California for runs scored (56)...tied for 16th in stolen base percentage (.885)...tied for 19th in stolen bases (23)...had a .346 batting average in 2008...led the Big 8 in runs scored and stolen bases and was third in hits (64).

BELLA VISTA HS: Richardson was named the Capital Athletic League MVP his senior year at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks...also earned second team all-metro honors...hit .469 his senior year...also held a 6-2 record and 1.80 earned run average, leading the Broncos to the CAL championship in 2005...was also a member of Bella Vista's soccer team...was a first team all-CAL selection in 2005.

PERSONAL: Richardson plans to major in broadcast communications at CSUB...career plans include working for a television or radio station...parents are James and Lisa Richardson.
