BETWEEN INNINGS CONTESTS
An inning sponsorship consists of an on field contest between innings during a Dubois County Bombers home game. These contests receive the full attention of fans as participants try to win a prize sponsored by your organization. You decide the contest and the prize. Imagine your business's name in front of the fans and announced at least twice over the PA system as the contest unfolds. Advertised by the Bombers and fan favorites, the contests are limited to one per inning and include the Half Pot Tickets, Outfield Fence Sign Contest (see next page) and 7 other contests. You can, in consultation with the Bombers, make up your own contest. Some possibilities are listed below:
Water Balloon Toss Race Against "Boomer" the Bombers mascot around the bases for kids Dizzy Bat Race Diamond Dig Baseball Toss three tries to throw a baseball through a 15-inch hole. Bowling Dash for Cash Best Seat in the House Winner Hula Hoop Contest
Cost: $25.00 for 1 game $50 for 3 games $200 for a half season $375 for a full season
Costs shown do not include cost of prizes and/or supplies that sponsor will furnish
OUTFIELD FENCE SIGN CONTEST
Every 5th inning of a Dubois County Bombers home game the Bombers will sponsor a contest to help promote their sponsors outfield fence signs. One lucky contestant will be picked at random from the crowd to participate. He/She will be brought on to the field and given 10 seconds to look at the outfield fence signs. Before the 10 seconds start our contestant will be given a description of what to look for (i.e., Signs in left field, or signs with a red (or other) color, or signs that sell liquid refreshments). After 10 seconds our participant will be turned around to face the crowd and asked to name a certain number of signs that match the criteria. If they get to that number they win a certain prize. Our on-field coordinator will tell the crowd not to help the person but BOOMER the goofy Bomber mascot, will encourage the crowd otherwise. It is absolute pandemonium as the crowd is yelling out certain signs to help the contestant along.
This is the time that the whole crowd in attendance has a chance to notice and be drawn to the outfield fence signs and your company will get a little more exposure from its fence sign. At the end of the contest our PA announcer will thank the contestant, name all the signs that match the criteria and thank them for advertising with the Bombers this season.
LUCKY SIGNATURE CONTEST
At each home game there will be one ad in the Game Day Program designated as the Lucky Signature ad for the night. Each Bomber program to be sold will have their Lucky Signature Ad signed in advance by one Bomber player. The PA announcer and Game Day Program will identify the Lucky Signature ad for the night.
Before the programs are put on sale each Bomber player will be given anywhere from 1 to 10 programs and told to autograph the designated Lucky Signature ad in each of their programs. Programs will then be collected and randomly sold as fans enter the ballpark. During the 3rd inning our PA announcer will announce the name of one Bomber player as the Lucky Signature of the night. Every fan in possession of a program with the announced players Lucky Signature wins a prize furnished by the sponsor.
The sponsor can control the value of the prize and the number of prize winners. For example, if a sponsor only wants to give out one valuable prize we will have one player sign the winning program and the other players sign the rest. Or if a sponsor wants to give out 10 prizes of smaller value, we will have the winning player sign 10 programs.
The winning players name or Lucky Signature will be known in advance by Bomber management but not by the fans. Since the programs will be sold at random the fan in possession of the program will not be known until the players name is announced in the 3rd inning. At that point all fans who purchased programs will check to see if they have the announced players signature. This is a GREAT way to draw attention to your Program Ad!
