Bombers Sign Local Talent
The Bombers have signed Dubois County natives Derek Katter and Brett Merkley for the 2009 summer. Katter, a graduate of Jasper High School will man the outfield. Merkley, who spent his high school days at Forest Park, joins the Bombers as a right-handed pitcher. For more information, vist the news tab at the top of the page for the release.

TEXARKANA COLLEGE (2007): Batted .303 with seven doubles, two triples, and 20 RBIs for the Region XIV Champion, 45-16 Bulldogs...an elite level athlete with outstanding speed.

Played four years of varsity baseball at Eastern High School in Louisville, Ky...finished his career third in Eastern High History with a .388 batting average...first in career singles with 131...second in career hits with 172...first in career triples with 17 and triples in a season with eight...second in career RBIs with 116...first in career stolen bases with 68...named All-28th District in 2004, 2005, and 2006...named to the Courier -Journal All-Metro Team in 2005...led the 2006 Evansville Razorbacks with a .370 batting average.
